Wedding Sitters

Walks and I were commissioned to stay with Emory Anne while Gene, Haley, Billy, Virginia, Mom and Dad went to the wedding on Saturday night. I had her all to myself for a little while and she slept like a little angel. She got a little fussy after Walks came home from fishing (imagine that)...and he wanted to calm her down. So he did, she laid with him for awhile and then he got her to sleep. My husband was so proud that he finally put a baby to sleep instead of made a baby cry which is what usually happens when he hold a baby. Go Walks!!! Autumn and Chad came over to visit while everyone was at the wedding and Autumn gave Walks and I a break while we ate dinner. Aunt Autumn loves her little babies like I do!!! She just got to meet Emory Anne for the first time that night. As you can see, Emory Anne fell fast asleep once Autumn settled her down. Thanks again!

Friends, Family & Fishcamp

Great Uncle Arthur spent some time oogling over Emory Anne while he got his drink on on Thursday night!! Sara loves nothing more than to hold Emory Anne. She and Susan both could spend the rest of their lives holding babies! This picture of Sara, Andrew and Emory Anne was from Friday night when we had a few people over to the Fishcamp. Speaking of Fishcamp, Emory Anne loves all the fish hanging from the ceiling. Looks like Gene is going to have to buy her a new and improved BIG mobile for their house in Columbia :)
Haley and I took Emory Anne over to Aunt SuSu's house on Friday afternoon so we could have a little time on the beach. We got back to find Emory Anne lying on her stomach on a pallet Susan and Robbie had make her. Emory Anne then proceeded to sleep from 12-8 on Friday night and Susan thinks it was that 45 minute nap that she had on her stomach. We can call her the baby whisperer! After a full night of sleep on Saturday, we thought she would be up all day, but she continued to sleep. She slept again on Saturday night from 11-8 with one feeding at 2 a.m. How lucky is Haley now?! If only all babies could get on a good night schedule that soon!

Emory Anne in DeBordieu

Life was rough for Emory Anne while she was in DeBordieu. We went down for Katie Zimmerman's wedding and I was the official wedding night babysitter. I was only able to babysit for about 2 hours because Haley had to get home to nurse...duty and baby calls!!! Babysitting duties turned into a fun-filled weekend of spending time with Walks,my parents, Billy, Virginia, Haley and Gene.

Another Monday Night Dinner

Hannah holds onto her little dog blanket...look at those big eyes on that very aware face of hers!!! She gets cuter by the minute; especially since she is growing out of the crying stage somewhat. She still has her days, but overall, the colic is much better. Do you see MiMi's new couch in the background? I'll get full blown pics of MiMi and Grandaddy's new den next week...it's something else! Hannah said she will try not to mess it up when she gets older :)
Maybe she'll be like me and have that little doggie blanket until she's 27. I can only hope.

Fast Asleep on the Stroll

Either the house was too cold or outside was too hot...or a combination of the two made my camera fog up when Anna and I came outside to go for a walk with T. Here he is getting ready for the ride. He was hard asleep before we even got out of the driveway...he sure does love to stroll!

Arms up!

Sweet sleeping baby still knows how to throw his hands up while he sleeps to remind you he's there...uncle Walks had a little time with him. This might be the first time Walks held a baby that it didn't cry...go Walks!!!! Look at his little fishy pajamas...even 5 week olds have beachwear :)

Beach Bum T

We went to the beach this weekend and stayed at Anne and Tom's house in DeBordieu and played with Anna, T and Tombo too. Kay and WD came down for the weekend, but only Anna and I got to see T on his very first BEACH outing. We met up with Elisa and Glenn to sit under their tent on Saturday afternoon. T says he likes the beach and can't wait until he can actually play around on it and in the water. How cute does he look out there?!!!

Where have all my babies been?

I can't believe how long it's been since I've seen Emory Anne or T!!!! I have been able to spend some time with Hannah, but haven't taken any more pictures. Look next week when I'm back from a weekend at the beach where I will get to see T! I haven't seen Emory Anne since last Monday...it will be 2 weeks by the time I get back from DeBordieu.
I'll report back Sunday night with some weekend pics of T and the Milliken fam.

Wednesday August 9th is Amanda's birthday, but the celebration was Saturday afternoon and night. Hannah enjoyed herself and decided not to be too fussy. She was passed around to everybody but Amanda and Hunter; they needed a break. Cousin Elizabeth, Uncle Walks and Nana all take turns holding Hannah!

Missing T

T went to the beach on Thursday and won't be home until next Sunday...how fun! Just so you know why I don't have any new pictures of T. Emory Anne is going to visit him today and she'll be back on Tuesday--I haven't seen her in a few days either! Maybe the moms will get some pictures of them playing together. I'll get to see T on Thursday when Uncle Walks and I head down there. See you then!!!

Weinie dog

So I got out of the shower on Thursday afternoon and this is what I found...apparently Willie is getting scared of the thunder in his old age. Isn't he so cute though?!

I visited Hannah and Amanda yesterday afternoon. She was fussy for awhile, so Aunt Caroline calmed her down so she could take a nap. This is the before while she was not so happy!This is during her 30 minute cat nap. She's been such a cap napper lately so it's really impossible to get anything done when she sleeps in 10-30 minute intervals. After the nap...
The colic is getting a little better; now that she's on Mylanta and Zantac. Isn't it crazy that my 10 week old neice takes more medication than my 87 year old Grandfather? Whatever works!!!! She is really smiling and being very aware when she's not being fussy.
Amanda just called me this morning and said she had a good long nap or two last night and this morning too...yeah!!!!!

Aunt Sara visits Emory Anne

I have been meaning to put these sweet pictures of Aunt Sara on the blog for over a week now. It's the best feeling to hold a sleeping baby!!!! This is a little overdue, but we want to congratulate Sara and Andrew on their engagement. Their wedding is planned for February 10th...we can't wait to celebrate!

Hannah's visitor

Collins came in town this weekend on a "baby visiting" trip. She came by Saturday night to see Hannah. And she thanks Collins for holding her while she was a little fussy!!!!

Hunter & Amanda's Night Out

Mom, Dad, Walks and I went to Hunter and Amanda's Saturday night to babysit while they went to a party in Lexington. We had such a good time playing with Hannah...she is so alert and aware! Thanks for letting us come over and have a chance to play with her!!!! She really is being a great sleeper at night now. Look at how cute she is while we ooh and ahh over her!...

Mama's get out of the house

Friday night Haley, Gene, Emory Anne, Anna, Tombo, T, Mom and Dad came over for dinner. We wanted to give the new moms a chance to get out of the house. Mom and Dad were celebrating their 34th wedding anniversary Friday--Happy Anniversary! Anna and Haley had fun catching up on all the Mom talk and I just enjoyed myself! Thanks for coming over and bringing your sweet babies!!!

Hannah's visit

I got to visit Hannah and Amanda today for a little while. After we fed her, she was fussy on and off. She sure likes to be held!!!!! We put her down in her carrier for a few minutes so I could do some "grooming"--we snot sucked, sock fuzz cleaned and attempted to cut her nails, but she wasn't having any of that! Finally she fell asleep in my arms and I left her in the bouncer all swaddled up asleep...hopefully she stayed like that for a little while so Amanda could get some things done.

I was able to visit both Emory Anne and T today. Aunt Leslie and I went to see Haley and Emory Anne and she slept in Leslie's arms while we were there. She was awake for just a few minutes. Her schedule is really good according to Haley. Eats about every 3 hours and sleeps and lies awake happy the rest of the time. T is pretty much the same way. I went to visit them tonight while Uncle Walks was in the woods getting deer stands ready...oh what fun on such a hot day! These are some lucky moms to have such sweet, good babies!!!! I would love to have seen Hannah today too, but she was with her Nana this morning while Mama went to work and then they shopped all afternoon.
