Anne Lesesne Milliken

Congratulations to Anna, Tombo and T on the birth of Anne "Lesesne" today at 11:51 a.m. She weighs 6lbs 15ozs and is 19 1/4 inches long. They are both doing great and Lesesne is just as precious as she can be. For those of you who are as confused as I was about the spelling, the phonetic spelling is "Lasane". How lucky and I to have gained a new boy and a new girl in my life in the past two days!!! William can't wait to meet his new baby girl cousin :)

Hopefully I will have more pictures to post tomorrow after I actually get to see Lesesne in person as opposed to through the glass!!!

Sweet Baby William

Grady Dowling Bell

Congratulations to Haley, Gene and Emory Anne on the birth of Grady who was born today at 12:37 p.m. He weighs 7 pounds and is 18 1/2 inches long. He is such a precious little boy and looks just like a Mote baby!!! William can't wait to meet his new friend. I see many fun, exciting times in our future. Should we be scared of these two boys?!?!?!

3 months old

Wow, it's already been 3 months since we welcomed Sweet William to the world. It's hard to believe how fast time has flown by and how big our "little" boy is getting. Everyday Walks and I say how lucky we are to have such a healthy, happy baby--I mean, he is truly PERFECT in our eyes. Of course he has his moments, but for the most part, he's our sweet little angel.
He is really starting to respond this month. We are getting HUGE smiles out of him all day long and I think he already knows how to flirt! He knows when he's looking at a pretty girl- he lights up!
He was on the track to be a big baby, but I think he' s slowed down a little. I don't have anything to compare it to since this is our first, but I think he's average to a little bigger than average. He is wearing his 3-6 month clothes and will probably move to 6-9 in the next 6 weeks or so.

One big thing that he started this month is going to school! He goes to Aunt Pam (Walks' aunt) where he spends time with his cousin, T, and his soon to be other cousin (arriving Thursday!). I can't believe I didn't post this when it happened--it was a big day for all of us, but honestly, it wasn't hard at all. As I walked to the car that first morning, I felt like a bad Mom for feeling liberated as opposed to feeling sad. But I realize that my lifestyle is such that I enjoy my adult social interaction as much as I enjoy spending time with my baby. Of course I look forward to picking him up everyday and spending the rest of the night with him!
We put him down for bed at 8:30 (when he has hit a wall and can't stay awake any longer) and don't see him again until 7:00ish the next morning. I love going into his nursery every morning and watching his face light up when he sees his Mama!
This last picture is from Williams first trip out to Woodcreek, where I am sure he will spend many afternoons to come in the next years of his life. Walks grew up out there and I'm sure William will enjoy it as much as Walks did, especially with all of his cousins, aunts and uncles!

We love you to pieces baby boy and look forward to the next 3 months. You're our angel!!!!! Love, Mama and Daddy

Emory Anne Prepares for Sisterhood

How cute are these pictures of Emory Anne feeding William?!?! As you saw from a few posts ago, Emory Anne helped Leslie feed William, but if you see below, she actually fed him by herself! She did not want any help--so we let her hold him. Does it get any cuter than this?

William will let you feed him anytime you want to Emory Anne!!!

Pete & Mary Ann meet William

Here are a few pictures from the visit Uncle Pete and Aunt Mary Ann made a few weeks ago. Sorry I'm so late in posting these! We had a great visit and William enjoyed meeting his great aunt and uncle from Virginia...we look forward to your next visit :)

Before Baby Bell #2

Gene and Haley decided they wanted to have people over one last time before they arrival of Baby Bell #2. Everyone was so sweet and brought over either a casserole or diapers...what a great idea. We'll have to do that in the future for everybody else--how wondeful!!
Luckily, Leslie, the greatest baby holder and lover ever was there to snuggle with little WAM. He loves his aunt Lel. Ariail was SO sweet too and held William for a long time, giving me a nice break from baby-holding :) Thanks!!!

Emory Anne pushing T around the Mickey Mouse car. I don't know that he got off that thing all night!

Kiki and Emory Anne

Leslie was feeding William and Emory Anne just had to help. She's going to be the best big sister!

Not so sure that this is what Tombo wants to see T doing...pushing a baby stroller around. Maybe that is how he will help Anna out when she has baby #2 next week :)

We had a great time and thank Haley and Gene again for a wonderful night!!! Can't wait to meet Baby Bell #2!!!!

Nelson

As you all know I am so far behind on posting and I promise to update sometime tomorrow. But for now I am posting my sad news that my cat was hit by a car today and died. I know that nobody wants to hear sad news, but this will make me feel better to give him a mini-tribute on the blog :)

Nelson, even though you were peeing in William's room, I was SO allergic to you and that you drove us crazy wanting to come in and out of the house a MILLION times a day, I would never have wished this to happen to you. I miss you already!

You were loved little Nelly boy--enjoy heaven with all of my other cats that are there--it's quite a list (needless to say, we won't be getting another one--I have a track record with running them off)!

T's house

Anna was nice enought to invite me and William over for dinner on Friday night. It gave me someone to talk to other than the dog. Walks has been in McClellanville since Tuesday and won't be home until Monday--it's been nice being able to keep the house clean, picked up and all the laundry done since he's been gone, but we really do miss him! Here are a few pictures of William from last night and he was wearing one of T's outfits.
